Characters
Mr. Fogle, a zookeeper
Ms. Rose, a school teacher
Students: Kyle, Ethan, Dylan, Jonathan, Joey, Raven, Brooke, Yvonne, Chloe
Setting
A Zoo (A man is sitting on a bench leaning forward resting his head in his hand looking very disturbed.
A little boy who is watching the man for a few moments walks up to him.)
Kyle:
Hello mister, what's the problem with you?
I'd think you'd be happy working in the zoo.
Mr. Fogle:
Hello son, before I answer, what is your name?
Tell me yours, and then I'll do the same.
Kyle:
My name is Kyle. I'm having fun with my class today.
Or at least I thought so until I walked this way.
Mr. Fogle:
Well, my name is Mr. Fogle, and how do you do?
Where is the rest of your class and why aren't they with you?
Kyle:
They are on their way to that big building over there.
I believe that's where they keep the polar bear.
Mr. Fogle:
Ahh yes. My friend Mr. Polar Bear, and I do declare.
If they didn't have this place, they wouldn't have anywhere.
Kyle:
What do you mean? I thought there were plenty of them around.
You see them on TV, playing and dancing on icy ground.
Mr. Fogle:
Yes, that is very true you see, but that's not all real.
That's just the silly things they're taught, and the same goes for the seal.
Kyle:
But, you didn't answer my question about what is making you sad.
Mr. Fogle:
I'm not really unhappy, actually I'm really rather mad.
Kyle:
I don't understand. There are so many animals here to see.
I think they're glad to see us. They all look very happy.
(At that moment three of Kyle's classmates show up.)
