Setting
A boy's bedroom, with a window, bed, desk, and lamp.

Johnny:
[Sitting by his window on his bed in his pajamas looking out into the starry sky speaking out loud to the planets.]

My teacher taught the class about the solar system today
She spoke of each of the planets
You are all unique in every way
From the moons, seasons and your granites.

How it would be great if I could fly
And visit each and every one
I'd fly to each and soar high
From Pluto and to Mercury near the sun.

[He crawls under covers and falls into a deep sleep. Suddenly he hears voices. There are nine young people standing around his room. Some are watching him while the others are standing by his window. Each one are dressed in dark blue t-shirts with a yellow symbol on their back and chest. Each symbol resembles the planet (who they are), except for one who has a picture of a blue and white marble.]

Mars:

Hey, I thought we weren't to disturb
This young fellow in his dreams
But I do believe our voices he has heard
At least that is what it seems.

[All turn to look at Johnny as he rises to sit up. At first he is startled then grimaces as he realizes who they are.]

Johnny:

(He speaks as he looks at each one their symbols on their t-shirts.]

I guess someone must have read my mind
As I was talking to the starry sky
Questions that filled my boggled mind
Asking where, what and why.

But, this all seems very, very odd
As I am a bit bewildered because I don't understand
I thought the planets were named after a Roman God
And not sons of man.
