Teacher Directions

Have you never directed a play in your teaching career or your whole life? Does it seem like too much work and exacerbation for just 15-20 minutes of performance?

First off, the 15-20 minute performance entails hours of academic learning, through hands-on, kid-made interaction. It's actually a way to trick children into learning important reading and phonics instruction, as well as, math, science, social studies, music, health, movement, and art instruction.

And if you've never directed a play in your life, that's not a problem, as each play comes with a set of directions that can be followed to a tee, or can be used as suggestions.

Better yet, if you have a constructivist learning environment, allow the children to decide which teacher directions to follow or brainstorm their own ideas for developing the play.
